Fresh information regarding 1337 Upload straight from the staff.
In a couple weeks from now, we'll be taking 1337 Upload offline permanently. We're simply no longer interested in maintaining the service, and with the new EU data regulations looming in the horizon, we thought it'd be best to do this now. New uploads and registrations have already been disabled.
In regards to your files and data, there are 2 new buttons on your profile page. One of them allows you to download a raw list of all your files (which you can plug into a script or downloader of some sort if you'd like to archive your files), and the other allows you to export all your user data on 1337 Upload in JSON format. If you're wondering why the data is missing your email, we've already deleted those from our databases.
We've had a great run since the website originally launched in 2009: our users have collectively uploaded almost 90,000 files, taking up nearly 300GB of storage. But the world's changed, and the demand for a service like 1337 Upload simply isn't there anymore - multiple cloud storage solutions have emerged, and most chat clients support file uploads natively. The niche we filled is barely there anymore.
For alternative services, I'd recommend imgur for images and Dropbox or Google Drive for other files.
Thank you for sticking with us for all these years!
A security issue with Cloudflare, a service we use for serving content, has been uncovered. Around 4 million websites were potentially affected, including 1337 Upload. Please change your password immediately!
There is now a search bar when browsing your own files (and others' files). While the eternal quest of rewriting 1337 Upload from the ground up is still in progress, I thought I'd add this much requested feature meanwhile.
And no, I'm not taking off my santa hat.
